NAS PENSACOLA, FL -- AMS-1 has been active in the Pensacola area community throughout the past year through the personal initiative of its Marines. These Marines have not been encouraged or coaxed to do what they do -- simply put, they have identified personally with a value system that places a premium on making a contribution to the community. They believe that one of the best ways to serve one's country in peacetime is to serve one's local community. This Nation is comprised of communities, and strong communities make for a strong nation.
